The extra fees for registration after October 11, have been dropped. We will also accept onsite registrations.

 

To register, please download the registration form using the link below.  Fill out the form and submit it to us, using ONE of the following methods:

**Submitting a registration does not guarantee a hotel room.  To reserve a room, please contact the Hyatt Regency Hotel directly at (888) 421-1442.  When making reservations make sure to reference the "Communicating Science Conference." Or, reserve your hotel room online by visiting the personalized reservation link for the conference.  The conference room rate will be $92 (single).  Add $10 for each additional occupant (up to four people per room). 

 

After submitting your registration form, you will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours.  Please contact Lee Snelgrove (lee@communicatingScience2010.org or 803-733-9060) if you do not receive one.  Receipts will be provided as soon as possible.

 

Poster Presentation Format

For those that have already been notified that they were selected to give a poster presentation, the session will take place right after lunch on November 4, beginning at 12:30pm.  Posters should be set up between 1 and 3pm on Wednesday, November 3.   Posters should be no wider than 48in. and no taller than 36in.  Your poster does not need to be mounted on a hard backing, as we will provide upright cork boards and pins.  Tables will be provided for the computers or other necessary presentation equipment.  If your presentation will utilize media such as videos or podcasts, you will need to bring the computer(s) with you.    If you have other special A/V requirements, please let us know as soon as possible.

 

Oral Presentation Format

For those that have already been notified that they were selected to give an oral presentation, the session will take place on November 4 starting at 11:15am.  Presentations will be a maximum of 10 minutes followed by 2 minutes of questions and answers.  We will provide a podium with microphone, computer and screen.  If you have other special A/V requirements, please let us know as soon as possible.
